Welcome to CACCA, the Umbrella for the Chicago Area Camera Clubs
The objective of CACCA is the development of fellowship among member Clubs and promotion of photographic interests and accomplishments.
We offer programs at our monthly meetings on areas of photographic interest as well as competitions both for individual members and member clubs in a variety of categories. We also sponsor a biannual photography school (CAPS) to provide a weekend of classroom learning and hands on workshops on many areas of photographic interest.
CACCA has been in existence since 1936. Today there are approximately 35 clubs in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area that are a part of CACCA. Find a club near you.
Board of Directors and Delegates meetings and Large and Small Print Competitions are held at the Northwest Covenant Church, 300 N Elmhurst Ave., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 (Map to CACCA) on the second Saturday of the month in November, January, March and May. Board meeting begins at 9:00 am and delegate meeting begins at 10:00 am.
All DPI competitions are held via zoom on the third Saturday of the month, October through May.

ANNOUNCING THE CACCA 2026 POSTCARD COMPETITION
CACCA’s Postcard Competition is returning again in March 2026!
Reflect on recent travels nearby or far away by reviewing images from your photo outings,
then let your imagination and photo processing skills run wild as you conjure up your ideal
postcard.
Open to all CACCA camera club members, this year’s competition will again be all-digital.
The official rules are listed below and will be available on the CACCA website. Here are
some of the highlights:
Each person may enter up to two postcard entries. Digital postcard entries must be jpegs
1621 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall, or 720 pixels wide by1080 pixels tall, to conform with a
standard postcard aspect ratio of 6 inches x 4 inches for horizontal image postcards and 4
inches x 6 inches for vertical image postcards.
As before, maker-added text will be required.
Postcard entries must be submitted through Competition Assistant software, just as
CACCA’s other individual and special themes competition entries are. You can enter
starting on February 15, 2026. All entries are due by Sunday, March 29 at
noon. Entries will be judged by a panel of eight to twelve judges and the winners will be
announced the week of April 6.
Creating a postcard is an easy, inexpensive photo activity that everyone, no matter their
photographic skill level, can participate in and learn from. The postcard competition
provides for photographic fun, creativity, and the possibility of related local chapter
programs. It is also another opportunity for everyone to directly get their images entered in a
CACCA competition.
More information can be found under the Education menu and at the menu Competitions->Divisions->Postcard.
